Serial Arson-Multiple Fire Setter
This course is designed to train fire and arson investigators in techniques of recognizing and analyzing serial arsonist’s patterns, identifying their motivation and potential target(s), and determining their "signature." The course instructs the investigator in methods to activate an operational task force to identify and apprehend the arsonist. The course was developed under a grant from the International Foundation Inc., IAAI.

DATE: December 1-5, 2008

TIME: 0800 - 1700 hours

PREREQUISITES: Students must have responsibility for Fire/Arson Investigation

COST: $175 (Includes Certificate, Student Workbook & Exercises) Enrollment must be paid by check or money order made out to the Riverside County Fire Training Officer’s Association.

LOCATION: Ben Clark Regional Public Safety Training Center. 16888 Bundy Avenue, Riverside CA 92518 (Old 3407 Building 1st floor) Please note the CTC Dress Code.

REGISTRATION: Registration will be accepted beginning on October 1, 2008. In order to reserve your place in this class, payment and a RCTOA registration form must be submitted to the RCC Fire Technology office at CTC. Mail to: 19510 Van Buren Blvd #238, Riverside, CA 92508.

Registration is confirmed when payment is received. Call 951 571-6311 for more information regarding registration. Maximum class registration: 30 students.
